INTERNSHIP
August 2020 - December 2021
Studying under some of the most credentialed Speech Language Pathologists in the field, Briana developed projects which delivered speech and language treatment through combining her performing arts knowledge while portraying very well known children's characters. Briana worked with field researcher and professor, Dr. Fredrick DiCarlo, Ed.D. CCC-SLP, to incorporate music therapy alongside registered music therapist, Dr. Linda Lathrum, to target language goals with aphasic patients through various music groups to earn her Master's of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University.

Under the supervision of Katherine Logan, M.A. CCC-SLP, Briana developed and launched the very first in the nation, "Princess Social Skills Group" at the Central Florida Dreamplex. This social skills group targeted social goals in the group setting while learning lessons from popular children's characters portrayed by Briana herself. Briana then developed and launched "the Drama Club" at the Central Florida Dreamplex and Alpine Academy which targeted social skills through the dramatic arts and play therapy groups.

Briana Falgiano, M.S. SLP earned her licensure in Speech Language Pathology in December 2022. Briana then established her private practice under the name "The Dramatic SLP LLC" to launch a new form of treatment methods.
About Me.
Hello! I am so glad you are interested in getting to know me and my background better. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Briana, a well-known local performer in the Orlando community as well as an established Speech Language Pathologist. I have spent my entire life in the performing arts settings and wanted to bring the performing arts to the speech language pathology field. Performing arts such as singing, dancing, theater and circus arts have had a profound positive impact on my life and it is my desire to share and bring that impact to you and your family through the incorporation of speech and language therapy goals.

Master's of Science in Speech Language Pathology at the prestigious university of Nova Southeastern University where I gained professional experience while teaching at a school for autistic children, Alpine Academy.

Bachelor's of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Central Florida
Bachelor of Arts from the University of Central Florida where I gained professional experience working at a summer camp for kids with varying ability levels in Scottsville Kentucky, The Center for Courageous Kids. Here I gained hands-on experience working with various diagnoses and learning how to care for each child specifically.
